SOUTH PARK

SBS, 8.35pm

YES, they swear. A lot. Yes, there are jokes about bodily functions and violence aplenty.

No, it's definitely not for everyone, but if these things don't bother you and you're looking for something that doesn't require you to think too much, give the boys from South Park a go.

Tonight, Cartman convinces the rest of the boys to "toilet paper" their teacher's house. After the fact, Kyle develops a guilty conscience.

Tune in by all means, but don't say I didn't warn you.

ENOUGH ROPE WITH ANDREW DENTON

ABC, 9.35pm

DENTON interviews hit factory Sir Elton John.

The tunesmith has been near the top of the pop heap for about 35 years in a notoriously fickle industry: he has had one US Top 40 single a year for 29 years (1970-99).

He is also a man of charity (no doubt he can afford to be) having established the Elton John AIDS foundation in the US and UK.

He has been achieving a different sort of recognition lately for various faux pas, but this interview should help to remind us why Sir Elton became famous in the first place: talent.

SCRUBS

Prime, 11.30pm

DESPITE its timeslot Scrubs remains one of the funniest and most genuine shows on television.

It's not everyday that you happen across a sitcom that is not only funny, but can also pack a powerful emotional punch when it wants to. Tonight's episode follows the characters as they attempt to deal with their respective relationship troubles.
